Tracking amyrecipes

Following up to the previous post, I've compared her most recent few recipes and the source where she copied them from. (No live linkage to her site for obvious reasons)
I found the sources within the first 1-2 results. Just to show how busy this person is. (Oh, and she also stole her Twitter avatar pic from leahdemilio, though she's since replaced it with another photo, which I wouldn't be surprised is also nicked from someplace.)

BTW this output is just from the last 2 days. I didn't have the time or will to go back further.

'Grilled Chicken Recipe with Sage, Rosemary, and Garlic Dried Herb Rub' - http://www.southbeachrecipe.info/grilled-chicken-with-sage-rosemary-and-garlic-dried-herb-rub: original - on Kalyn's Kitchen (heavily edited but the same recipe)

I've tried leaving comments that point out that I've seen that same recipe on X site before.

None have been approved.

Folks may want to try asking questions - questions that can only be answered if you've actually MADE the recipe. Just to see if that will at least show others reading that this is just a mimeograph site.

Kalyn noted via twitter that the site has now been monetized with Google Adsense.

I'd say that any and every blogger who has found their material on that site file a DMCA complaint right away. (Take screen shots too, just in case things change.)

The site now says "no longer available."

I left a comment on her site and now I can no longer access it from my laptop. I get an "access denied" message.

A few months ago, a Montana innkeeper was pulling the same kind of scam. What's so difficult about coming up with your own ideas?

Thanks to all who warned me about this creep.

It's not about stealing ideas; most likely it's about traffic. S/he's just gathering info and putting it together to get hits; probably has ads running and is simply trying to drive traffic to make money.

Or s/he's a sociopathic freakazoid!

Don't these people have real jobs? Never mind, I'm asking that question at a time when many people do not have jobs. Silly me.

Thanks for enlightening me goblinbox.

My suggestion is to hit her where she has support right now. Check out who is responding positively to her:

http://search.twitter.com/search?q=amyrecipes

She does have 584 followers - so maybe just point out to them that there are other wonderful sites out there that have those actual recipes with kitchen-tested experience & photos.

She didn't nick any of mine. I feel left out!

This is a really newbie question but how do you file a DMCA?

Amy - if you search the archives here at FoodBlogS'Cool you'll find quite a few articles on the topic.
