Since yesterday I've been having problems uploading photos to my blog posts. I usually use hello from Picasa and even tried using the little icon for uploading right on blogger - all to no avail. Is anyone else having this problem? Could it be that I have too many posts (200+) most with photos?
I also notice that a number of bloggers have a separate site for their recipes that link from their main site. Would this help me?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe it is a temporary issue, I havent loaded any pics in the last 24 hours so I wouldnt have noticed any problems. I dont think that the number of posts has anything to do with it. I think I have over 3000 pics stored on blogger without any problems to date, touch wood.
Sometimes if I have trouble getting a photo to load using Blogger if you make sure the button "choose this layout every time" is not selected it will work. Just a tip I learned from someone, worth a try.
Thanks for the input ladies.
Kalyn, I tried your tip but it still isn't working. Guess I'll have to get in touch with Blogger.
I run across this from time to time but it usually passes. Always seems to be worse with .bmp files for some reason.
I ran into that problem so many times that I stopped using Blogger to upload photos a long time ago. If you've got somewhere else you can host them, then it's easy to add the code to display them on your blog. You just make sure they're the size you want, and then go to the Edit HTML tab and add the code where you want the photo to go. The simple code would be:
[img src="http://www.urlofphoto.com"] --just use < and > for [ and ]. You can add an alt tag to add a caption and style tags to make it go to the left or the right. For instance, this tag:
[img alt="Vegetarian Sushi" style="FLOAT: left" src="http://www.fatfreevegan.com/images/blog/sm-sushi.jpg"]
would make a photo captioned "Vegetarian Sushi" that floats to the left with text flowing around it to the right.
In the meantime, why not go via Flickr? Just uploaded your pictures there and add the properties to Blogger that way. Hope it helps!
Thanks all for the good advice. This was the first time in a year that blogger failed me, so I guess I'll stick with them.
All seems right with the world now, at least.
