Google stock falls after report shows slowing ad clicks. Although this news report is primarily about googles own search engine ads, i am wondering whether there will be a a knock on effect for bloggers' ad revenues from google adsense?

Since we just discussed all that is Food Blog Ads, I thought I would ask a similar question...do you have a paypal (or other) donation link, and how's that workin' for ya?


(And for the record, I have an ad and wish I didn't. And I don't have a donation link and can't foresee doing so, since I can't imagine who would give me money for my babbling.)

Time for another round of advertising talk

Happy midsummer everyone. I'm looking at some redesign stuff that includes adding some *gasp* advertising to the site. I searched the archives here but the most recent discussions about ads are over 8 months old, which is darned near neolithic in Internet years.


I signed up for adsense, am going to sign up for blogher (which I'd rather use) and realize I am relatively clueless on the topic.

Who is using an ad network/service they love or hate?
Suggestions for someone just starting with ads?

[Product Reviews] Good or Bad

Lately I have been getting a few mails asking me to review this and that. I have to admit I have mixed feelings about this and am not sure how to go about it.

Do any of you do reviews for products and items and mention them on your blogs?
Or do you have a strict rule against such reviews?

I'd love to hear more about the reasons behind your choices and the pro and cons of such things.
