[Code] Looking for help with Template code
I've gotten a couple responces after I did a redesign of my template that when they go to the main page they can see the title of the first post but have to scroll way down to see the body of text that goes with it. I viewed it in Firefox and IE and do not have these issues - can anyone help me with what I am missing?

Joe,
The default width of your site is too wide. My laptop displays 800x600 px and I have the problem you describe viewing your site on it.
One of the problems with a 3-col format is fitting everything into such a narrow space. However, with care, it can be done (www.earthandhearth.com).
I can't help you, but have that viewing issue with AOL. Is OK with IE though.
OK - your problem is that you have quite wide fixed width columns onthe left and right with a floating middle. Take a look at what happens if you force the window to be narrow and what it does to your display. I think you must have the text width fixed somehow but the central 'div' is variable.
CSS containers (which is what all these are) are tough to handle. My site (www.tomatilla.com) is similar to the above earthandhearth and I spent a LONG time finding a 3-col layout I could live with and tweaking it and tweaking it and tweaking it.
Do a google search for 'best 3-column CSS layout' and you'll find some good authorities on what works and what doesn't and the limitations etc.
Thank you for the comments so far - I really have no experience with CSS or templates much so I'm not sure how to approach to solve this issue. I will keep looking around and reading to see what I can find - it is just pretty confusing!
Thanks
I think I have the problem fixed, but I'm not sure - could anyone that was having trouble check with your 800X600 display and see if it is all correct now?
Thanks for your help!
Joe,
It's not quite fixed yet. The post title shows at the top but the body is still below the sidebars.
Hi Kevin,
Are you viewing in Full screen with your browser at 800X600?
Are you seeing this at the homepage? (I have not gone past the most recent front page posts to fix them yet)
Thanks for helping!
Looks OK in AOL now (didn't before). Someone else here (Owen? Andrew?) recommended a few CSS books that I picked up that you might want to check out: Eric Meyer on CSS and the Zen on CSS Design. Hope this helps.
Joe,
I never view anything at full screen (but I checked and if I do so with your blog the problem goes away). Personally, I wouldn't consider the problem fixed, but it's your call.
