Titles as LINKS =How To Do It?

I've been noticing in some Blogger blogs that the TITLES ACT AS LINKS.
Is this a trick of only BETA blogs?
If you're doing a search, it makes it more convenient to click on the title and just view that particular post etc.
For example if you look at,
http://muddyredshoes.blogspot.com/ you can click on any post title instead of having to search in the sidebar.
Whereas in my blog, http://parisbreakfasts.blogspot.com/ the titles are not clickable :(
If anyone knows a workaround, I'd love to know it. It's a useful little trick.
THANKS!

In Blogger, under Settings->Archiving, set Enable Post Pages to Yes.

I don't really think that enabling post pages will do it, at least not in old blogger. You'll have to modify your template. Here's how I did it. (Be sure to make a copy of your template before you start.)

Go to your template and find this tag: <BlogItemTitle>. It will probably be about halfway down, probably after <!-- Begin .post -->.

Replace <BlogItemTitle> and everything between it and including </BlogItemTitle> with this:

<BlogItemTitle>
<h3 class="post-title">
<a href="<$BlogItemPermalinkURL$>">
<$BlogItemTitle$></a>
</h3>
</BlogItemTitle>

Let me know if you have any trouble with that and I'll try to help.

Enabling post pages worked for me in old blogger (and new blogger too) without any other modifications, so if you do that (as Joanna explained it) you should be set.

It's definitely worth a try. Perhaps that didn't work for my blog because it's hosted off of Blogger.

Thanks Joanna,
But I see that I already have it set Enable Post Pages to Yes.
And no go...
Do I have to change Archiving Frequency (now set to monthly) to DAILY?

I'm not sure what the issue is- maybe you fixed it already- because in your blog, just as in muddy red shoes, I click on the title and see just that particular post and all the comments appended to it.

As I said, maybe you fixed it?

Peter of http://blogger-tricks.blogspot.com/ gave me the work-around so I've fixed 30% of my posts so far.
It seems that I'm still using the Classic template as is this site.
SI had to
Go into SETTINGS > FORMATTING and enable

"Show title field"
and
"Show link field"
Then I have to do it "by hand' so to speak.
Edit the post AFTER it's published and put in the link then into the provided window thingie.
If this doesn't make sense just ask me,

I'm on a Blogger classic template, and the work-around I posted works perfectly for me, without having to do anything else once the template is changed. Is there a reason you didn't want to do that? I would hate to have to edit individual posts either before or after they're published.

Actually, the template I'm using, Minima, is exactly the same one that Carolg is using, so I'm really confused as to why you didn't try that.

Since the way Iused to enter Amazon books no longer works for me, I got template-shy SusanV,
Do you also have "more posts" down at the bottom?

I'm also using classic blogger, and (although someone did it for me) I changed some language in the template and it changed every post title to a permalink. I didn't chime in sooner because I don't know exactly how Bradley did it, but Susan is right that you should be able to do it without editing individual posts.

Hmmm... I don't have "more posts," but I do have "previous posts."

I don't know why your Amazon links stopped working after you modified your template, but sometimes one wrong character can throw things off (that's why I always either back up my template or write down exactly what I'm changing). I've gone template-crazy lately, modifying mine from 2 columns to three, but the basic structure is still the Minima template.

The modification to change to linked titles is really easy, and I'm sure it wouldn't mess anything else up. Then you won't have to go back and add the link to every post.

SusanV,
I just used your work-around in my blogger Minima template and it worked like a charm. Thanks so much!

And thanks, ParisBreakfasts, for posting this question on foodblogscool. : )
