slide.com
Alright, I might be a bit slow but: I just wanted to say that I have been hooked on slide.com and think it's wonderful! I take tonnes of pictures and this is a wonderful way to share them on a blog (or on other mediums for that matter). It saves me play favourites with my pictures. Thoughts anyone? Maybe other new/old [free] useful programs anyone might want to share?

Slide shows are OK if the reader can choose to play and watch them. The automatic ones are, to me, nearly as annoying as popups - they distract the eye and make it harder to focus on the content. I like the embedded youtube videos, because you can choose when to play and watch them.
Sam has used Slide sets on several posts and I really enjoy them, tho I probably wouldn't want to come across them ALL the time (plus they don't show up in RSS feeds).
I recently used Slide to add two photo galleries to a nonprofit site that I created for a food and wine fundraiser (view here: WomenOfTaste.org). It's a easy cheap way to add some pizazz to a website and the organization staff can add or remove pictures themselves quite easily. It was a much better option than Flash.
thanks guys.
Yeah, if the post has only a couple of pictures, I will (and should) post the pictures themselves. But I'm currently working on a travel post and that's where I think slides come in handy.
