Has anyone switched over and had any issues? I've customized my sidebar and header quite a bit, so i fear it getting all mucked up. Has anyone had any successful / bad experiences with the switch thus far, and how is your situation now?

My switch went fine, but if you use Flickr to post photos to your blog, you'll need to re-add your blogs. Once you've switched, go to your blog settings. Flickr will notice that you've upgraded, and will give you links to follow.
No problems except needing to change the code to hide the navbar and losing all accented characters in the sidebar and footer (not in postings) so I had to re-enter them. Otherwise no problems at all, but I've made many changes to my template so I continue to use it and cannot take advantage of many of the new features that go with using a standard template.
No problems at all, even with Flickr, and the instant publishing is wonderful. :)
I have BETA FEAR and thanks for giving it a name. When they offer me a VERY large sum of $$$ I might consider switching..till then
NO way
Blogger is warning me that soon everyone will have to switch wily nilly.
I customized my template, and had virtually no problems switching. Just the same as what Trig said above, and that's pretty minor. I did have trouble publishing for a while (see the FBS post I wrote on 12/22), but that seems to have been fixed. I say, go for it. Just back everything up to reduce anxiety. Vanilla Garlic will still be beautiful:)
