Business Cards for your blog?

I'm just curious - how many of you have business cards for your food blog? I just got mine - and I'm soooo excited about it. I made them myself, using VistaPrint (they have free options, but they also have cheap ones where you can upload your own pictures) and the same design as in the header on my blog. They came out really well, and I look forward to being able to hand them out. I've noticed that often when I talk to people and the blog comes up - well, everyone wants the address, so I thought it would be a bit handy to have cards. Anyone else?

Like Sam, I've been meaning to do this for awhile too. Didn't know Vista could put your banner on the card too ... that would be way cool! Do you just have the site and tagline info, or anything else?

There's a definite need for it - because once it comes up, I'm always scrambling for paper/pen to write down the info.

I also made some cards with my URL on it. I just purchased blank laser business card sheets and used word to paste the picture I wanted with my URL. I also give the cards to those who express interest in checking out my blog. It's easier than writing out the address each time someone asks.

Like Sam & Sweetnicks, it's something I've been meaning to do (actually something I've been meaning to make my creative boyfriend do). I always feel pretty lame when I have to whip out my work business card and write my Life Begins @ 30 information on it.

I have cards and I actually have two versions. The first is just my logo (you can see the graphic on my blog, but there is actually accompanying text) and the url. The second version also includes my name and email address.

I had a friend design them for me, then he set up the pdf files and I just take them to Kinkos (now FedEx Kinkos) and have them printed off on cardstock there.

I've been doing cards for my blogs for years with an inkjet and office depot or epson brand glossy cards - it's cheaper than four-color printing because I don't need 500 of them, but I never seem to have them when the situation requires it.

There's lots of cheap, fast, online biz card printers for those of you who need more than a few cards. I've used professorprint.com for a client and was very pleased.

Remember to use a higher resolution file of your photos than what's on your web page! Same goes for you logo.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one! :) I used the same image as for my banner - the raspberries. I cut it to the right size in Photoshop, added a white square in a new layer which I then made somewhat opaque - so half the card is "muted". Then I have the blog title, the url, and my e-mail. That's it. Very clean. :)

I hadn't really given much thought to it before. What a good idea!

I got mine from Vista too! I get asked all the time about my URL from Japanese people who don't feel comfortable with the name of my blog (multi-syllable words), so it's very convenient. I've found that giving them a business card is a nice addition when asking establishments whether it is OK to take pictures of their food!

I think it's a great idea to promote the blog. Already I do it on most of my emails and I'm thinking of prooting it offline with leaflets in cafes.

I just found this site and have been browsing around. I made some simple cards with my URL and blog name and stuck them in the Cake Walk goodie containers I made for my kid's festival. Never saw if anyone came to visit, but it was a shot (hoping they'd want the recipe or whatever).

My printer was not working, so I made up a "gif" and had it sent to the 1 hr place to print wallet sizes. Worked great. Now we have a printer, I can make more. :)
