Foodcandy

I received an invite to join Foodcandy. I spotted the odd blogger that I recognise, but I can't tell whether this is effectively a blog farm, or something of interest. I guess, the fact I can't tell probably means it's not of all that much interest. Anyone else heard of it/using it?
Cheers

I got an invite too. I think they just want to farm our content. I decided against it.

It looks like a new forum looking for members.

Sites that want to farm your content can just use your feeds to do so. Many already do this without our permission.

Interesting sleuthing: google a sentence from one of your posts...

I joined because db's picture was cute. I didn't see the content farm - i thought it was a forum. i admit I haven't been back there since the day i joined, but that is because there are too many things to do and too little time.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's not a farm.

Me too, I got an email and checked out the site. It looked slightly classier than the usual blog farm but didn't really think it was a forum either. I thought I would keep the email and check back.

I don't get excited about these things (at least since the first one when I realized that all they wanted was my content and wouldn't really respect me or share the ad revenues in the morning). That's partly because I have never seen a stat for a reader of mine coming through one of these sites.

I kind of have a wait and see attitude about it. If anybody finds out more let me know.

Funny I just got an email myself. What the heck, right?
IT seems like it's more of a match.com meets foodbloggers or something. I won't be going that often I'm afraid.

I just deleted everything from Food Candy because once you're signed up and visit the site, they show your picture/that you're online. Privacy, folks, privacy!
