First:Can anyone tell me how to completely remove the blogger navigation bar that goes across most of the blogger web pages? I've run across quite a few that managed this, but wasn't sure what in the world to do to accomplish this on my own blogger sites.
Second:Does anyone know if it is against blogger 'rules' to do this?
Thanks!

i remove them long ago and this is the code
noembed /noembed ( dont forget the < bracket for the two code
place them somewhere near /head and body again the <> bracket
not sure if it is illegal ....
If that doesn't work (it used to, but doesn't on some of the newer templates) try the code mentioned here:

This may be worth reading.

I had mine removed for my recent site overhaul, but I really missed having it since I use it often to search for things I've mentioned...
thanks everyone! I will try these out. :)
Amy -- I used the code from the link you sent me to. It worked great! Thanks!
If your blogger blog is hosted on blogger, it may be advisable to put the navigation bar back. It would be a shame to lose your blog because of a violation of blogger ToS
When I read this post, I was pretty sure that it would be against Blogger rules to remove the navbar from blogger blogs that are hosted for free on blogger. I looked through the blogger ToS and didn't see anything that supported this. However, take a look at these articles:
A Consuming Experience - Blogger: you can't modify the navbar (March 23, 2006)
A Consuming Experience - Blogger: deleting the navbar or Blogger button (June 18, 2005)
So, if you want to get rid of the blogger navbar, it looks like you will have to self-host your blogger blog.

P.S. I wonder if this is because of the upswing in splogging that the blogger navbar must be left intact.
It is NOT prohibited to remove the Blogger nav bar. I know this because the original BloggerPro accounts gave you that option.
You must leave the Blogger branding on the site but the "I power Blogger" button icon is fine.
interesting stuff..thanks guys and gals! :)
I removed the Navbar from my blog, but added a Blogger logo to the footer. I figure Blogger is entitled to some credit.
Thaks. i looks this info..
