How to enable TypePad accounts to leave messages

Hi there. I had an email from Ivonne, (Cream Puffs in Venice) saying she couldn't leave a comment (she uses TypePad) as I have the comment section set up for Blogger accounts. I checked my template but don't see how to enable/modify to allow other blogger formats. Any ideas? Thanks.

When you go to the comments page you just tick in the 'anybody can comment' box. At least this is what I have done and it seems to work on the blogs where I don't use Haloscan.

All people need to do is click on 'other' or 'anonymous' under "Choose an identity" in your comments section. It's what I have to do to leave a comment here.

Ilva- but if you tick "anybody can comment" doesn't that leave you open to spam?

In response to Liz or others who might not know, you can choose anyone can comment and still use either word verification or comment moderation to prevent spam (or both, which a lot of people seem to do, and I'm not quite sure why you need both??)

Choosing anyone can comment means that the person can comment as a registered user (your Blogger display name, as "other" (which allows them to type in a name and web page if they wish, or as "anonymous". I've had a number of my friends tell me it's confusing, but it's really quite easy once you realize you don't have to register, you can just choose one of the other options.

Thanks to everyone for replying. I do have, in the comments section, "anyone" can comment already on. And, like Kalyn pointed out, I also have word verification enabled & so far, touch wood, have not been spammed. Cheers!
