What has Blogger done to Typepad

I've noticed when a Typepad blogger leaves a comment on a Blogger.com blog you can't click on the name to go that persons blog. I don't remember it always being this way so is it something Blogger have done to make it more difficult to visit a Typepad blog.

Here's a workaround for that. Sign up for a Blogger account (free). In your profile, put your blog URL in "Homepage URL", and under Extended Info, be sure to include your blog name and URL again. When you leave a comment on a blog, and someone clicks on your name, they will get to the Blogger profile page, and then can click on your blog. (If you click on my name here, you'll see how it works.)

It's cumbersome, but better than nothing.

I'm not sure if this is true in Blogger Beta, but in the old Blogger you can leave your name as a web-page link by selecting "other" under Choose an identity in the comment box. When you click select "other" you get a line to type your name and a line to type your web page which shows up as a link saying "Barbara said . . ."

I have noticed that on blogs switching to Blogger Beta it sometimes takes then a while to get the comments working correctly, so that might be what you've experienced.

Thanks Lydia and Kalyn. I have noticed it only happens on some blogs.
