[Blogger] making the extended post link
I was looking around the FBS archives as well as on Blogger's help page but couldn't find any information on the code to shorten my post and create a link to extend it. Is it done in the template or can it be done in the post itself?

here is such a post from early on in the Food Blog S'cool year. I tried it and failed miserably. Maybe someone else has other suggestions.

I've tried it as well as the blogger help article. They shortened the post okay, but I lost all sidebar info on my main page.
If anyone successfully does this with one of the blogger templates and has specific suggestions on how to make it work for someone who doesn't "speak code", please share.
