I just got an advertisment comment of some sort on my most recent post. I can't figure out how to remove it. Is there a specific section in blogger? How do I prevent something like this?

Log into Blogger as yourself and then visit your own website. Click on the comments linked to the particular post and a small trashcan will show up next to the comments. If you click on the trashcan Blogger will walk you through deleting your comment.
Spam comments happen to me a lot!
I just got a lot of those, too. Is there anyway to block spam comments? Or are you just best off deleting them as they appear?
There is an option in Blogger that I have to turn on every once in while when I get hit by spammers that allows only registered users to comment.
I also have had to delete a number of these "spam" comments. Blogger does make it simple by just clicking on the trash can icon in the comments section when you are logged in as yourself.
On Typepad, there is the blessed option of being able to moderate your posts before they appear.
What nuisances spammers are. I visited one of the spammers' sites at a food blog I like, and told him he was a spamming nitwit. Heh.
Hey, you food bloggers: go put yourselves on the Food Bloggers map! (Zoom in for better placement.)
: D
I recently got one of those spam comments too. I'm glad you told him off, Tana. :P
What I want to do is remove the "Removed by author" comment that gets left behind. It so weird to me.
In Blogger, if you check the remove permanently box it will remove the comment without saying that it was removed by the author. It's as if the comment never existed. You can also trash the removed by author "comment" that remains if you don't check the permanent box the first time.
I've been getting so many of these spam comments lately! I just got another one as I was writing this comment. Sigh.
