Can't upload images

Waaaaaaa!!! (sorry, i had to let that out)

I have been trying to post something last night to no avail. My problem is uploading images. I've never had this problem before until now and it's doing my head in. I'm just wondering whether i am alone in this. Please help?

Right. I started by creating a new post - entered the title, drafted the content, etc. Then came upon uploading the image. It went through opening the file, chose to have it left indentation, etc... then the message : 'waiting for image to upload' came then a BLANK screen. I did this over and over about a zillion times already and the same thing happens. I finally gave up on it last night as it was getting late and as i tossed and turned in bed, i kept thinking, it will be alright tomorrow. But that tomorrow is now and the same thing is happening.

Few thoughts... have i exceeded blogger's generous capacity they have given me? Since there's no obvious information on how much memory we are allowed to upload on blogger, one cannot know, huh? Or is it just me that don't know this info? How do i find out?

Guys and gals, i need your help. THANK YOU in advance.

I don't have any answers for you but can only let you know that this was happening to me too! Eventually, after much perseverance, I got one picture up but it has refused since then. Occasionally blogger does somethinglike this and I just wait it out.

Hi PLUM, thanks for the response. At least i now know i wasn't alone on this. Also, after reading your comment, i quickly tried uploading again and as if by magic, it worked! Yipee.

I was really frantic in desperation i think. I can relax now... til next time blogger decides to put a spell on me.

It was happening to me too for a while, so it's a blogger-wide issue. Sometimes when Blogger does this if you make sure you don't have the box checked that says "choose this layout every time" it will work. You might try that next time. It worked for me after I unchecked that box.

I too, was freaking out yesterday when I couldn't upload my photos. I have two blogger sites. Yesterday I only tried one and after 6 trys spread out throughout the day, I threw my hands up and went to the movies. This morning just now I did get a photo to upload to the site I didn't try yesterday and it worked. I still can't get anything to load on my food blog. So guess I will have to do laundry and vacuum. Rats! I would much rather post on my blog!

I've been having problems with bugger ... I mean Blogger for the last month. Inability to access the site, inability to post draft and this last week, inability to post images. Emails to Bugger also showed up the inability to respond to emails. I finally gave up on posting anything after taking almost two days to upload one post. I really don't have time for this and feel like just closing the blog due to Bugger's inability to provide any kind of service.

KALYN, i will try that next time (i hope there'll be no next time!). Thanks.

VLB5757, so i wasn't the only one freaking out... i lost some sleep because of it at least you got to watch a movie... i'm with you blogging vs housework. LOL.

MM, oh no! Stop! Don't even think about giving up your blog. The reason i'm with Bugger err.. Blogger, is, it's free to have my little hobby. Otherwise, i would have left it ages ago too.

MM (Stephanie) I agree with Mae, don't stop blogging just because blogger is buggy once in a while. We would miss you.

I developed the same problem at the end of last week. The solution for me (I'm using Safari) is to delete all my blogger cookies, then try the upload again. Then it uploads like normal for me. I'm deleting my cookies before every upload - it won't let me upload two in a row successfully.

Good luck.

I didn't have any problems last night getting a round-up up, but today's another story...

mae said...

It's started again.

I've done what KALYN suggested but it didn't work.

CATHERINE, I'm using Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.1 and looked up on HELP to find out how to delete my cookies but it said click on Firefox > preferences. Err... i clicked on Firefox but where's preferences?

I'm really starting to fall out with Blogger...

Ok, happy thoughts... i'll just sit here, eat my cream slice and wait...

Mae,

I don't know Firefox. Look under the File menu when you open the browser. Usually there's an option called Preferences there.

I'm able to see a list of all my cookies so I can just delete the blogger ones.

I hope this helps.

I had the same problem over the weekend. It worked intermittently. I'll try clearing cookies in the future.

I've tried looking on all menus of Firefox... no preferences. huhu.

Thanks for the effort in helping me out Catherine. You're a star. Maybe my firefox needs updating. I'll try using Safari (the only thing is, Safari seems to be too slow for me - that's why i started using Firefox). No win win situation for me so far. But try i must.

Mae, cookies in Firefox are under tools, then options.

(I don't know much about any of this, but I know where they are :)

I want a cream slice!
(What is it?)

I played around with the cookie deleting and I only need to delete those listed photos.blogger.com. This way you don't have to "resign" in when you go to upload the pics.

KALYN & CATHERINE, thanks. On my pc, i found Tools, Options, Cookies. I'll try my mac when i get home. You guys have been bril.

CC, nothing passes you! Ok, i'll tell you what cream slice is only if you promise not to call 'calorie police' on me... oh, what the heck, sue me too if you want to, cream slice is 1-1/2 or is it 2? inches of lovely cream (Jersey of course) sandwiched by two thin layers of pastry with a sticky gooey, sweet glaze on top. There. I needed it after all the stresses Blogger gave me. You're shaking your head... i have been naughty!

If you copy the HTML code from another one of your posts with pictures and use that, replacing the jpeg properties, you can get around Blogger's issues that way - that's what I did last night. Hope it helps! :)

Aw, thanks Mae & Kalyn. I finally managed to post but cannot upload any photos even with cache and cookies clearing. My problems with Bugger has been going on for more than a month now and still no response from them. Pass me a slice of cake and bottle of whiskey please.
