(Blogger) Posting Pictures

For some reason, Hello hasn't let me log in/post pictures for the last few days. In the meantime, I've used Flickr, but don't really care for it. Any other programs out there that fellow bloggers can recommend? I love Picasa for editing the pictures, which is why I've been using Hello, and have never had any problems before but it keeps telling me it "cannot connect to the internet," while, of course, the cable modem is running fine and I can access every other site. Suggestions? Getting desperately behind with picture posting...

As a (unwilling and somewhat bitter) Mac user, Hello is incompatible with my system (could Macs be more annoying? Nope.) so my only choice is the blogger photo upload option. I cant edit any shots, but at least they get up there! (It has, on the other hand, forced me to take better pictures, since I dont have the fun tools Hello offered.)

Best of luck!

I use the program that came with my camera to size and edit the photos and then just use the blogger photo upload button. It is kind of a pain to get the shot to show up just where you want it to be in the post (they all show up at the beginning and you have to click and drag to where you want it) but it does work.

Sweetnicks - I think there may be something wrong your end cos I have been using Hello and Picasa all weekend just fine.

Got the same problem here sweetnicks, actually it has been 2 weeks, I'm hoping it would be fine as I find it very useful and quick way to upload pics to my blogs.

I use Picassa for photo management, tuning, and cropping. Once I have the photo the way I like it, I use the export tool in Picassa, which puts the modified photo in a new folder. Then I use the Blogger image upload tool to bring the photo to my blog.

I tried the Hello button and was never happy with it. It involved too many steps and was non-intuitive.

btw - have you got the latest copy of picassa? I remember now i downloaded it one computer and hated it and couldnt get hello to work. So on the lap top i use more often I just keep declining the invatation to download the latest version. On my other computer I have to use blogger instead of hello.
Sorry i only just remembered that small but impportant factor

Sam, I think you might be onto something. I, in my infinite wisdom, download the NEW and IMPROVED version of Picasa and Hello stopped working since then. I love Picasa because I can clean and crop all my pictures very easily, and then use Hello to load them up. By loading the pictures any other way, it's not loading the clean and cropped ones. Now, the REAL question. Since the new version of Picasa seems to be causing the problem, if I remove it from my computer and reload it, what happens to all my pictures? I suppose I could just store them on a CD, right?

I hope I can help... I also have downloaded the latest version from Picasa and I have used a "Blog This" Button whenever Hello couldn't work. The button is located below at the bottom of the screen.
