[Promotion] Gather.com wants food articles

Hi kids,
I got this email from (the very sweet) Lisa@gatherinc.com. If you are interested, check it out. They are looking for people to post to their site. I asked and she says all content remains your own...

I wanted to get in touch with you about possibly re-posting some of your content
on our site, gather.com.

Gather was founded in 2004 in conjunction with American Public Media
Group
with a mission of bringing all of the U.S. public radio listeners together in an online forum (a la Friendster and MySpace), where they can share their views on everything from travel and wine, to religion and politics. The public radio audience is informed, intelligent, curious, and passionate and Gather gives them a space to discuss things they have heard on the radio or read and to post their own thoughts, reviews etc. Posting articles on Gather is a great way to reach a new audience, drive additional traffic to your blog, and contributors
receive a percentage of the advertising revenue we collect. At this point, writers are earning points which will be redeemable for goods and services in the next few months. Power writers, who post large volumes of highly rated content, will eventually be able to redeem points for cash. I have attached a link for the Gather site below and would love for you to take a look at the site.

Although I am just beginning to contact food bloggers, we are already working with Lynne Rossetto Kasper of public radio's The Splendid Table; and have had significant interest in additional food and cooking content from the Gather community. Given this initial feedback from our members, we are looking to expand the breadth and depth of content in this area.

If you are interested, go on and email her...I sent her this link and she is looking forward to hearing from you!
