Love Your Blogging Family

Just noticed a classy touch at Elise's Simply Recipes...

In a post on making homemade pizza, she ends the post with a collection of links to fellow food bloggers' posts about pizza.

It's a great idea to reinforce the community aspects of inspiration.

I'm going to try to remember to do this also as a footnote in my posts.

Thanks for the linky love Elise!

I'll second that sentiment. Elise is very generous with her links as well as her substantial knowledge of how all things online work. I can't even tell you how many times she's given me a nudge, or dropped me a note about something that is broken or not optimized on my site. Bravo and big thanks to Elise!

I started doing this kind of thing with my restaurant reviews about 18 months ago, but I just couldn't keep it up - it was too much hard work for me in the end, it would add aboout 30 mins or even more to a post. I had all the best intentions and not the time to keep up with them. Nowadays its a luxury for me to be able to do it. I wish I still could. It is a great idea. Well done Elise.

Thanks, guys! I love being able to point my readers to terrific posts by other food bloggers. The collective cooking knowledge of this group is so far beyond my own and always will be. The main reason I compiled a custom Google search for the food blogs I read (http://www.foodblogsearch.com) was to make it easier to find posts for doing link round-ups like this. Although the custom search isn't perfect, I find that if I dig through the results a bit I can find some great posts.

Elise is always showing the way to those of us who are newer to food blogging (as are Heidi and Sam, too!). The generosity of the food blogging community, in so many ways, continues to amaze me.

Yes, Elise has an extensive blog list that is part of her overall blog and I was amazed and touched to see that she included some of us who are rather low on the food blog chain.

That tells you something about her.

Thank you, Elise.

Elise is kind and generous, no doubt about it. I love her idea of adding links at the end of the post pointing to similar recipes on other blogs. I've been trying to do it when I have time, but I'm not as consistent as Elise is. Thanks Elise, for the constant inspiration.

I put Elise's search tool on my site quite a while ago, but only recently have I started to use it to support my blogs and to get ideas from other bloggers. Last night I started drafting a post for later in the week on the subject of greater galangale and when I searched I found a treasure trove of postings - far more than you'd find with an ordinary Google search. I've already acknowledged some of the earlier posters in my article, so I'm thinking along the same lines as you, McAliflower! Well done to Elise, who has always been one of the most supportive bloggers.

Elise rocks!

I've been doing link roundups for awhile. It's a great way to give readers new ideas, and personally I find food blogger posts to be far more interesting and in-depth than simply linking to a recipe site.

Sometimes the only problem is being overwhelmed by so many cool blog posts!

I followed a few of the links and discovered some new blogs that I will be checking regularly now.

Thanks Elise, for unearthing some hidden gems!
